Nurse Practitioner (Prescriber) Required for a Permanent post in South East London, Excellent Salary on offer

Dream Medical are working closely with a busy GP surgery in South East London who are looking to employ a Nurse Practitioner or ANP who can prescribe, the role offers full time hours and is to start ASAP.

The opportunity of continual professional development along with clinical updates and training are offered as well as financial incentives for working weekends and bank holidays as and when required

Professional

To adhere to the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Code of Professional Conduct and to be conversant with
The Scope of Professional Practice and other NMC advisory papers
To maintain clinical competence and exercise awareness of professional responsibilities by reading current relevant literature and by taking opportunities for personal and professional development in accordance with Post-Registration Education and Practice requirements and the changing requirements of Concordia Health and the National Health Service
To use evidence-based practice to develop and maintain high quality clinically effective and cost-effective primary care
To participate in and provide clinical supervision as required
To participate in research within the practice, as appropriate

Clinical
To assess and diagnose across a wide range of primary health care conditions, order investigations, plan and provide treatment as needed and discharge patients without reference to a doctor
Assess, tolerate and manage risk and deal with uncertainty
Prescribe in accordance with regulations and with the post holders training and registration
initiate appropriate and timely consultation and/or referral when a presenting condition exceeds the nurse practitioner's scope of practice and/or expertise
liaise with a doctor about patients with complex problems who need the expertise of a general practitioner
Provide, develop and evaluate health promotion and disease prevention services to patients, including those who are healthy and those who have acute and/or long-term conditions
Undertake screening procedures
ensure that appropriate health promotion materials are provided effectively
