Senior Scrub Nurse Cardiology – Bournemouth
Full Time - Permanent
This role will involve setting up the Catheter Lab with the Cardiac Services Manager to provide a specialist service to patients requiring diagnostic and interventional procedures which are invasive and require monitoring of the patient's condition and nursing care accordingly. You will be required to act as scrub nurse to Consultant Cardiologists and to undertake a range of angiography procedures including, coronary angiography, Percutaneous Coronary Intervention and pacemaker implantation. You will provide a Clinical lead within the Cardiology service. You will ensure accurate clinical records are maintained in accordance with professional, statutory and organisational guidelines and provide clinical supervision in line with statutory requirements.
The successful candidate must:
• Be an RGN with a minimum or 2 years' experience working in the Cardiology setting
• Have completed ENB998 Teaching & Assessing Course or equivalent
• Have valid NMC Registration & Pin
• Be committed to delivering the highest standard of care
• Be flexible, reliable and motivated
